EPM Communications publishes newsletters, research studies, and directories which focus on marketing, consumer and retail trends. Their studies and reports are very useful in licensing but are expensive and run in the hundreds of dollars. For example, their Royalty Trends Report cost $319. In the past, I've purchased the EPM Licensing Letter SourceBook which lists contact information for agents, licensees and licensors. The sourcebook has always focused more on brands and entertainment than art licensing and the recent issues have even less information for art licensors. As an artist, I no longer think it is worth the cost ($379 for the 2009 issue). But for artists that need information associated with the licensing business and is willing to spend the money, EPM is an excellent resource. Joan thank you for your opinion on this. I have been really pondering buying this resource, but I think I am going to continue the good old fashioned way and find people myself. Thanks so much!
